Housing
Australia's housing market has become more about profit than people. It’s time for serious action on negative gearing and the capital gains tax discount.
Bank Reform
The Big Four banks have been gouging customers, raking in record profits, and shutting down regional branches. We will push for a Public Bank of Australia and a Mandatory Banking Code of Conduct.
Supermarket Divestiture
We will introduce tough new divestiture laws to break up the Coles and Woolworths duopoly if they exploit consumers, drive up prices, or abuse their market power.
End Political Perks
Politicians pay has gone up over $16,000 in the last two years, plus there's a six-figure payout for defeated MPs. In a cost of living crisis these perks are slap in the face to hard-working Aussies.
Republic
It's time for Australia to take control of its future and stand as a republic, with a head of state chosen by the people, for the people
End the Genocide
Nearly 50,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, including over 18,000 children. If our leaders can't stand up to this, how can we expect them to stand up for us?
End the Resource Rip-Off
Our resources should benefit Australians first, but right now they are shipped offshore, sold for massive profits, and then sold back to us at higher prices.
Domestic Violence
Domestic violence survivors face often face financial insecurity. We’ll fight to automatically split the abuser’s superannuation with the survivor, giving them the financial security they need to rebuild their lives.
Parliament Vote on War
The decision to go to war should be one made by the Parliament, not the Prime Minister of the day. We’ll fight to ensure that war decisions are made by our elected representatives, not a single politician.
Defence
It's time to scrap the $368 billion AUKUS mistake and instead build a defence posture that invests in resilience, peace, and its own people - not in outdated war games driven by foreign interests.
Real Climate Action
The major parties have used climate change as a political football for decades. It's time to end the delays and the half-hearted measures. We need decisive, urgent action now to secure a livable future for all Australians.
Fix Student HECS debt
Rising HECS debt are keeping our future generations stuck in the past. We will raise the repayment threshold to the median wage so graduates only start paying when they earn a fair income.
National Poverty Measure
Over 3.3 million Australians live below the poverty line, yet our government doesn't have a standard definition or measure of poverty. We need an accurate poverty measure so we properly address this crisis.
Raise Jobseeker
60% of households on jobseeker are living below the poverty line. Aussies shouldn’t be forced to choose between food and rent—it's time to raise JobSeeker.
Raise the Remote Area Allowance
the Remote Area Allowance is not indexed at all and hasn't increased for a quarter of a century. We must increase and index the Remote Area Allowance.
